​SIZING FOR PRESS-ON NAILS
WAYS TO MEASURE 
#1: (OUR FAVORITE TECHNIQUE) Contact us at polishedchardon.com for a sizing kit! This is the most exact way to measure your nails. Cost of sizing kit is taken out of cost of set once kit is returned and order is placed. $15

#2: Hold measuring tape horizontally across the widest part of your natural nail and make a note of measurement in mm.
Repeat for each nail 
OR
#3: Stick a piece of tape across your natural nail and with a pen/marker mark each side at the widest part. Take tape off of nail and measure with a rule from mark to mark. Make a note of measurement in mm.
Repeat for each nail

HOW TO APPLY AND REMOVE PRESS ON NAILS
ADHESIVE TAB METHOD:
  • OPTIONAL: For a stronger hold GENTLY buff the natural nail plate with a lightweight buffing block to remove natural shine 
  • Clean natural nail plate and wipe with rubbing alcohol to remove any excess natural oils 
  • Size adhesive tab by placing natural nail under clear sheet and determine which tab most closely fits
  • Repeat for each nail 
  • Peel adhesive tab off of clear sheet and lightly apply to either natural nail or back of press-on nail at cuticle line 
  • Peel backing off of adhesive tab and apply the press-on nail 
  • Press firmly to adhere 

TO REMOVE:
  • Apply cuticle oil around edges and under free edge where press-on nails touch natural nail plate
  • Add a small amount of dish soap or bath gel to a bowl of warm/hot water (not hot enough to burn skin) 
  • Soak nails in bowl until press-on starts to loosen
  • Roll press-on from side to side to remove 
  • Adhesive tab residue should easily roll off natural nail and back of press-on 
  • If reusing press-on nails, dry off any excess water and use rubbing alcohol to gently remove remaining oil

NAIL GLUE METHOD:
  • GENTLY buff the natural nail plate with a lightweight buffing block to remove natural shine  
  • Clean natural nail plate and wipe with acetone to remove any excess natural oils 
  • Apply a small amount of nail glue to your natural nail, do not apply too close to cuticle 
  • Set the press-on to the back of your nail bed making sure it is straight 
  • Press firmly to adhere 

TO REMOVE:
  • Apply cuticle oil around edges and under free edge where press-on nails touch natural nail plate
  • Add a small amount of dish soap or bath gel to a bowl of warm/hot water (not hot enough to burn skin) 
  • Soak nails in bowl until press-on starts to loosen
  • Roll press-on from side to side to remove 
  • Lightly buff glue residue from natural nail 
Acetone can also one used to effectively remove press-on nails adhered with nail glue 
  • Fill a glass bowl with acetone 
  • Soak nails in bowl until press-on starts to loosen 
  • Roll press-on from side to side to remove
  • Lightly buff glue residue from natural nail 


DO NOT force press-on nail off of natural nail plate! This can cause extreme damage to the nail plate! 
Remove press-on from sidewall rather than pulling from cuticle or free edge

PRESS-ON NAILS ARE NOT ACETONE RESISTANT! ACETONE WILL DESTROY THE PRESS-ON NAIL!
